About Us
Who We Are
ADR’s mission is to partner with public school districts and communities to foster family literacy.
How We Do It
Twice a year, fall and spring, school districts select a book that all elementary students read at the same time. ADR supports school administrators and teachers by creating a packet with content questions and a reading schedule, as well as providing training. Together, every family reads a chapter of the book at night. The next day, there aren’t tests but rewards for participating in trivia questions about the chapter. Our goal is to cultivate a passion for reading and enhance literacy among elementary school students, particularly those in lower-income and minority communities.
